Wound, Burn and Ostomy Nurse Practitioner Job in Sebring, FL

Key Responsibilities:

Safely perform wound debridement using sharp, enzymatic, autolytic, or surgical methods at the patient's location.
Apply and manage topical wound care and related wound management products.
Direct and recommend associated services to enhance wound healing outcomes, including labs, radiologic tests, vascular tests, referrals, and more.
Interpret diagnostic tests and suggest suitable follow-ups.
Prescribe necessary medications, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or supplies, aligned with the supervising physician's collaborative agreement.
Conduct risk assessments for Diabetic Foot Ulcers in diabetic patients as per ADA guidelines.
Educate patients about wound management and ensure referring physicians are updated on the latest wound care practices.
Act as a resource for health-related decision-making, planning, and policy creation.
Collaborate with staff to determine resident needs and develop strategies to address them.
Ensure regular skin sweeps on a quarterly basis.
