Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant

A healthcare services organization in Texas is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join one of their growing mobile health clinics in Houston.

About the Opportunity:

• Assignment Length: 6+ months
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8am to 5pm
• Setting: Mobile Health Clinic

Responsibilities:

• Complete health histories and perform physical exams
• Order and review appropriate lab tests and immunizations
• Order and monitor prescribed medications in compliance with Pharmacy D regulations
• Make referrals to appropriate providers or agencies
• Serve as a mentor and resource for clinical staff
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
• Assist with training new clinical staff
• Actively participate in clinical provider meetings
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
• Master's Degree
• TX Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
• BLS certification
• Experience in an Outpatient Clinical setting

Desired Skills:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• ACLS certification
• Experience in a Family Planning and/or Medical Clinic setting
