ChristianaCare is looking for a Physical Therapist, who is passionate about acute spine care, to work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team of surgeons, nurses, and other ancillary staff to provide post-operative outpatient therapy evaluations, treatment and patient education within an ambulatory surgery center on the Wilmington Hospital campus.  The qualified therapist will assist with preparing the patients for same day discharge including providing valuable input to the team on discharge disposition. This position may also provide coverage in the outpatient Wilmington Rehabilitation Services Site or the Joint Center at Wilmington Hospital.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and re-evaluate patients in a timely manner
• Establish appropriate treatment programs that include goals to be attained
• Complete all documentation relating to patient care, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Review active patient records
• Provide patient and family education and training
• Maintain written and verbal communication with referral sources concerning patient care

Education and Experience Requirements:

• BS, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an A.P.T.A. approved school of Physical Therapy
• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist preferred
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware
