Position Summary:
The main responsibility of this role is to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our collections processes. In this position you must possess exceptional analytical skills, a strong attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of collection practices and regulations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits on collections activities to assess management with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Review and verify the accuracy of collection records, documentation, and reports.
- Assist management with Identifying areas of improvement in collections processes, policies, and procedures.
- Provide suggestions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in collection practices.
- Meet monthly goals and objectives.
- Monitor phone calls to ensure compliance with company policies governing collection of debts and applicable federal/regulatory guidelines.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines and timelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Using Microsoft Office tools to create, update, and maintain documents critical to Quality Control.
- This position involves regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
- Other duties maybe assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Experience
- At least two (2) years collections or auditing experience required
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines and timelines.
- Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to enter data accurately into spread sheets and prepare professional looking documents and reports.
- Knowledge of collections processes, regulations, and best practices
- Strong understanding of fair debt collection practices and consumer protection laws
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Education requirements and/or certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
