Nebraska Medicine is seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Cardiac Device - EKG Technician. This hands-on, patient-facing role offers the opportunity to build foundational cardiac diagnostic skills while working directly with patients and a multidisciplinary cardiology team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with direct patient care, and committed to supporting accurate cardiac monitoring and high-quality patient experiences.

Part-Time (0.5 FTE)
Rotating schedule of three 8-hour shifts one week and two 8-hour shifts the following week.
Shifts are scheduled Monday-Friday on variable days depending on departmental needs.

Duties: EKG Technician
Perform adult and pediatric EKGs, specialty EKG, apply holter monitors and cardiac event recorders. Directly interact with patients, nurses, staff, and physicians. Transcribe test results into hospitals Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Required Qualifications: EKG Technician
High school education or equivalent required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Preferred/Desired Qualifications: EKG Technician
Two years' experience in EKG preferred.
Medical experience preferred
College courses in physiology, anatomy, and/or related subjects preferred.
Associate of Science degree preferred.
Graduate of an accredited school of allied health/technology preferred.
