Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full-time Food Service Associate to work in the Long Term Care area at Deerfield, located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323. Deerfield has 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites. Shifts for this position will be primarily 4:00pm to 7:00pm (any night of the week/weekend) and 10:00am to 2:00pm Wednesday and Saturday. Some 7:00am to 2:00pm shifts will occasionally be available. Approximately 28 to 31 hours/week will be scheduled. Holidays are required if you are normally scheduled to work that day of the week.

This position will pay up to $17.42/hour (straight pay/no tips). Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

Job Duties & Skills Required:

What You Will Do

The primary responsibilities of this job include working independently as a lead within the dining room services during daytime shifts. Prepares tables for meals, refilling containers, clearing dishes, handling food safely, attending to residents needs, taking phone orders, and ensuring other servers are completing tasks in a timely and appropriate manner. Facilitates a pleasant dining experience for the residents and guests who dine at the community.

Skills & Requirements

One (1) year dining room serving experience is required.

Minimum age of 18 years old required.
